Maintaining international peace and security have always been at the top of the agenda of the United Nations (UN) since its inception. After witnessing countless incidents of armed conflicts around the world since the establishment of the UN, it is pertinent and timely to re-evaluate, re-examine, redefine and redesign the methods of maintaining international peace and security in order to ensure much needed global security of our time.
In view of that, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) – in conjunction with the 77th Anniversary of the UN and the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) – would like to accommodate a dynamic platform for the various stakeholders from all levels – i.e., national, regional and global – in the peace, security and conflict resolution industry as well as academia to disseminate and discuss their views as well as perceptions on contemporary international security issues and challenges from theoretical as well as practical perspectives.
ICPCR 2022 adopts the theme: “International Peace and Security: the Achievement of the United Nations and the Way Forward”.
It is hoped that this conference would contribute toward maintaining international peace and security.
